Styles of Commercial Laminate Flooring
Stone
Laminate flooring is one of the best materials for businesses looking to emulate the look and feel of stone. On top of this, laminate is far more cost-effective and easier to install than the real thing. Refresh your commercial space with minimal disruption to your operation.
Parquet
This classy flooring style is ideal for adding a sense of quality and elegance to spaces, such as showrooms. A laminate substitute gives you greater flexibility in terms of colours and styles, which can be installed in a far smoother process than traditional parquet flooring. In the long term, laminate parquet is also far easier to maintain.
Herringbone
Similar to parquet, Herringbone laminate flooring is an instantly recognisable style that says a lot about your business. The embossed textured grain creates an almost exact match appearance to the real thing. However, many brands avoid this style purely on price. Choosing laminate means this style becomes accessible without incurring a massive cost.
Wood Plank
If you’re aiming for a pure and simple style, you can’t go wrong with a wooden plank style flooring. Unlike a natural wood floor, a plank laminate is designed to maintain its appearance under heavy footfall. It can also be easily repaired, so you can maintain a light and open feel for customers.

FAQs
How long does laminate flooring last in commercial settings?
Most modern commercial-grade laminate flooring can last between 10 and 15 years. However, this is only possible with proper installation and care.
Will laminate withstand high-traffic areas?
Yes. Commercial laminate is designed for use in high-traffic areas, featuring a high-density core and thick outer layer. This type of flooring is highly durable as a result.
Is laminate flooring noisy?
If you walk on hard laminate flooring with heavy-duty footwear, it can produce a loud sound. However, this shouldn’t be the case for most leading laminate flooring. An acoustic underlayer can also be added to help reduce noise.
Where is commercial laminate flooring used?
Laminate flooring offers an exceptional balance of toughness, affordability, and flexibility. As such, it can be used in a variety of commercial settings. This includes retail, offices, schools, leisure facilities, healthcare, and hospitality venues.
Is laminate flooring waterproof?
Commercial laminate flooring is water-resistant, meaning it can withstand small amounts of moisture every so often. If you’re looking for a flooring solution in a space that experiences frequent spills or steam, it could be worth pursuing a dedicated waterproof flooring.
What’s the difference between vinyl and laminate flooring?
Vinyl flooring is made entirely from layers of synthetic materials, whereas laminate flooring is made from similar layers built around a fibreboard core. From here, both materials exhibit similar properties for durability, acoustics, cost, and ease of installation. You also have similar levels of flexibility when it comes to appearance. When it comes to choosing between the two, it depends on the space and your business goals.
